I have always appreciated things crafted by hand and enjoyed seeing the the trace of one’s hands in their work. I have cherished them and grew fonder of them. I treasured the memories made over many years of use.
It became my hope to promote more thoughtful approach to things that surround us and more meaning ful relationships between people who make and use. Out of this hope, the project “thoughtfully crafted” was born. The goal at the time was about fostering relationships through objects.
Then we had children. Our interests evolved and the meaning of life naturally expanded to a broader circle that involved children. It led us to Kokono.
Now I am back to the original hope that set me on this path. In a way it is my contribution to Kokono, the bigger picture. It is an ongoing experiment to explore the ways in which we could live more thoughtfully and playfully.
